Business owners need to adapt with major economic and technologic changes
Farzin Derakhshanpour, a member of The Board of Directors of The Union of Polymer Co-operatives argues that some of domestic businesses tend to avoid learning about new technologies and economic changes.
He had an interview with Fars news agency about problems that businesses are facing currently. “Unfortunately, business owners mostly do not have an appropriate plan in order to adapt their production and sales with technologic changes.” Stated Derakhshanpour.
Derakhshanpour also believes that choosing “production boom” as the main goal to follow during 1398, could be useful for these businesses as they can benefit from different upcoming opportunities.
“We have had an increase in the number of startups which are using high technology in order to provide customers with different types of goods and services. This is while a vast number of traditional businesses avoid using these technologies.” Claimed Derakhshanpour. “Not using these new technologies and also new methods of marketing is the main reason of the decrease in sales of traditional businesses.” He explained.
And about marketing, Derakhshanpour believes that it should be considered as an investment. This is while a lot of traditional businesses see it as a huge amount of unnecessary costs, which is not true. And because of this point of view, a large number of businesses have avoided using modern methods of marketing during the past few years, which has led to all the problems they are facing.
“A lot of business owners still think that their businesses can still survive using the old technology and methods of marketing. Btu this is not true and business owners should consider adopting to the new technologies.” Concluded Derakhshanour.
